Finally finished

some stash
Another month of The Aussie Kona club and what I bought at the Sydney quilt show. I haven't made anything with them yet but I will, eventually.
I don't know why but we get fabrics early here in Aus and I was able to get a layer cake of Bright Sun from patchwork plus, an online shop here. It is gorgeous. I am going to cut the squares in half and make flying geese and then figure out the quilt design.

Pandamonium
The fat quarter shop recently featured a free pattern which I could not resist. I put a thinner border on so it is slightly smaller. Once quilted I will hang it on my wall. I am getting quite a collection on minis on the wall!

tula pink
One of the many projects I want to make is a quilt from the Tula Pink City Sampler book. I decided to make 2 mug rugs for a friend using two blocks from the book and some old Tula fabric I knew she would love. The blocks are so cute, I still want to make the quilt but I now realise these blocks work best when the fabric is fussy cut or picked specifically for each block. This is a lot of work and will have to be a long term project.

mini churn dash
I didn't bind this until after the Sydney quilt show when I could buy fabric for the binding. Once I had the fabric I decided I didn't like them as binding and black looked best which of course I had all along. I loved this wall hanging on pinterest so I made three 6 inch finished blocks with 1.5 inch sashing (finished). I think I would like to make even smaller churn dash block.

out of step
I finished this top but don't have a backing and not sure how to quilt it. The Out of step pattern is a freebie by Robert Kaufman. I used a charm pack of kona sunset and so changed the measurements but followed the exact layout. The designer is Libs Elliot. She does some great quilts and I am tempted to make her Rebel quilt.
