Quarter 2 finish along

Last time I tried this I didn't do very well. If I posted this tomorrow I would probably have all different projects listed. I have a very short attention span when it comes to what I want to work on.

Make Hazel hedgehog cushion from Elizabeth Hartmans pattern

Make a small runner using tutorial from missouri star quilt co.

Fix this block from book Fun Size quilts and make some more.

Hamd sew the binding on the fat quarter shop mini mix charm pattern. I used a kate spain jelly roll.

Yet another cross stitch started.

Make a quilt with these half square triangles.

Quilt this

Put a hanging sleeve on this. Linking up to On the windy side.

I won a copy of fun size quilts a while ago and finally decided which mini to make. As you can see I made a little mistake. The quilt is designed by Jeni Baker and will be gorgeous when I get it right.

New Book, new project

Best book ever! Not only does it have great projects in different sizes, for each block it has what is needed for 1 block. As someone who always looks for a smaller option on nearly every thing I see I love this.

2 new projects

What do you do when you are busy at work with little time to sew. Start new projects of course! The top photo is a tutorial for a bear paw block made easy from Missouri star quilt co. I am planning to do 4 blocks with Kate Spain and navy to make a table topper for a friend. There are so many half square triangle quilts I want to make, so I made a charm packs worth. No idea what setting I will use.

Last blocks

I have finished my vice versa BOM blocks. Now I need to decide if I will do the setting given or an easier simple one with sashing.

Birthday cushion

I saw this fabric at spotlight and had to make my daughter a cushion for her birthday ( I made it in December but forgot to blog about it. She loves dream catchers. I put an enclosed zipper in the back using this tutorial from s.o.t.a.k handmade.

And now for something completely different

I made a valentines mini quilt. I don't usually do any valentines day things. I also used pinks and oranges. NOT my usual colours. And I love it. I told my husband I made it for him but it is to go on my sewing room wall. We are racing 18kms in an outrigger canoe on Valentines day. How romantic. We are not even in the same boat! The tutorial is by Ivete from Gotham Quilts. I found it through Amy Friends, During Quiet time blog. Here is the link to the blog post with the link!
