Something Different
My outrigger club had it's regatta on the weekend. Crews from all over NSW came to compete. It was a great weekend!! Here are a couple of photos of my crew racing.
I am paddling in position 4 in the long sleeve rashie. We are very lucky to have such a great place to paddle.

NearlyDone
I thought I should post some photos of Peters quilt now in case I don't have a chance before we fly to Perth. I took these photos with my computer to make it quicker and easier but not sure if they really show how great this fabric looks!
I couldn't resist taking one of Rhani

Peties Quilt ready to be quilted
I am really happy with how this quilt worked out. I was a little worried that it would be too boring but the fabric looks great.
Here is a close up of the fabric. I used the Building Blocks Baby Quilt pattern on Moda Bakeshop by Cindy Lammon of Hyacinth Quilts.
Now to quilt it!

Awesome Prize
I won a Prize!!!!!!!!
Thanks to Lynne at Lilys Quilts. I won this amazing bundle from Fort Worth Fabrics. It is gorgeous. I love the coordinating solids with the prints and the prints are gorgeous. What to do with it. First I have to finish something to have an empty tub or basket. I have UFOs everywhere but usually contained in a plastic tub or fabric basket..
Some quilts I want to make are
Coin quiltalong from Don't call me Betsy
Hug and Kiss Quilt
Preppy the Whale
charming star
tumbler quilt
I will have to think about it while I finish a project or two. Hopefully I will see a pattern and know it is perfect!

WIP
I have been working on grungy gran which I cant show in case mum reads my blog before I go to Perth. I can show my other WIP because I know my brothers do not read this blog.
I am using the Building Blocks Baby Quilt pattern on Moda Bakeshop by Cindy Lammon of Hyacinth Quilts. I am doing 40 blocks for a bigger quilt although it wont be nearly big enough for my over 6 foot brother. I am using a layer cake of modern background ink. I think it is manly enough! It looks a lot better than the photo shows. When finished I will get a better one.

zebras and improv
A couple of finishes to show today.
I finished my zebra. I unpicked the pink and replaces it with beige which is hard to see in this photo. I will try and get a better one. The block is a freebie from sew fresh quilts. I turned him into a cushion because you can never have enough cushions
I did my first improv block!! I have always thought I would never do an improv quilt. I like them but just didn't think they were me until I saw the quilts over at Twiggy and Opal. I love her improv quilts especially the sand sea and ocean bed runner and the motion of the ocean quilts which I plan to shamelessly copy.
i finished this a while ago but didn't post a picture so here it is on my wall!
