Just Because

I love Just Because presents! They are unexpected and a great surprise. Miss Nancy sent me these gorgeous mug rugs last week. They are gorgeous pastel batiks which look amazing and definitely remind me of summer days at the beach as she planned. The kids love them and picked which ones they wanted to use. They better not spill anything on them.

I admired the disappearing 4 patch a while ago and after seeing them again on Marlenes blog Under the rose I decided to make one.

I used this tutorial at Love Laugh Quilt. I used fat quarters so I will probably make two more and make a small table runner.

  1. Nice mug rugs. I like that size better than the one I did. As I had said you can do it with any size you like. Such a simple easy block. I will be making more of them for sure. I like the fabrics you did yours in.

  2. So, so happy that you like the 'just because' gift. It was great fun to make and gave me a new appreciation for batiks. I am finding that I like them a lot. Thank you for these great links. Love the disappearing four patch. Definitely works magic on a plain old four patch.

Have a super great sewing and stitching day.
